Analysis of Korean businesses off-shoring and its implications

○By the time the division of labor through the overseas production is fully achieved, it is important to have an overall examination of the effects that the overseas production of domestic businesses have on a domestic industry. However, studies carried out on the business level are incomplete, and effects of the labor division of the overseas production may differ among industries.

 

○We strive to derive a cause-and-effect relationship between off-shoring, one of the types of global value chains, and performance indicators and search for ways to strengthen competitiveness of major industries by expanding positive effects of off-shoring.
