A study of the improvement of service trade statistics and the competitiveness of the service industry
○Indicators from the total volume of imports and exports by each professions do not reflect such characteristics as how large the firms are in the service industry, and whether they participate in trade activities abroad, etc. Therefore, earlier analysis of industrial competitiveness, based on the total trade volume by professions, has the limit.
○This study aims to overcome the limit that the analysis of service trade competitiveness, based on earlier literatures, does not reflect characteristics of businesses, for example, a size of service businesses in the industry or the participation in the overseas trade activities, etc. The study also aims to study the competitiveness of the industry using data on a business level
